After Independence, 60 years have been passed and we have 8o lakhs tribal-idigeous people of Jharkhand displaced in the name of development. Any how only 5-6 percent of these displaced people have been rehabilitated sp far. The remaining o es are wa dandering after having been displaced from their ow land and to meet their o e square meal.There is neither a grain inside their bellies, nor a roof on their heads. There are no clothes on thier bodies. Unfortunately, they are dying in want of treatment. Now they are coolle-reja and bonded laborious, who were o ce khoontkatidars of the land. After being devastated from their fields and farms, daughters are bound to clean utensils in metropolitan cities. The populations of Tribals, which was 70 percent in early days, has been reduced to 26 perce t in the 2001 census. 80 percent of the Tribal- Mulvasi and Dalit women among displaced peoples are suffring with anemia. 85 percent of children arre malnourished. In fact what have the displaced Tribal-Dalit- Mulvasi got at the end of the whole exercise? there are 80 percent young people, who are unemployed. But the question is why is it so? We are not anti-development, but this development brought nothing, but agony to the displaced people which has raised a number of serious questio s to tje State and the Country so far. It is known to all of us that politicians, government, law system of the country have no answer to these questions. Farmenr-Tribal-Mulvasi of Jharkhand have sacrificed everything, Jal-Jangal-Jameen(Land, water and Forest) and their homes and farms created and cultivated by their ancestors as their contribution to the development. On their land hundereds of mines and factories such as HEC, BCL, ECL, CCL, Bokaro Thermal Power, Tenuthat Power Pland, Lalpania Dam, chaida Mines, Bauxite Mines,
Chandil Dam, Tata Steel Plant, UCIL Urenium Mines, Chandrapura Power Plant were set up. But the question rises-who were benefited by all theses Mines and Factories?

We are tribal-aboriginals are dependent on the Jal-Jangal- Jameen for our social, economical, lingua-cultural existece. The soil, the water, the farming fields are our legacy and ide titiy. As long as we are associated and linked with Jal-Jangal-Jameen of our ancestors, we are entitled as the Tribal-aboriginals farmenrs. Neither our socoal, lingua-cultural values could be compensated, nor could our rehabilitation be possible.

After formation of the Jharkhad State, the Babula Marandi-led NDA Government broungt an act known as Jharkhand Industrial act 2001, Which says that there will be a network of industries in Jharkhand. With the help of this Act Arjun Munda's Government signed the agreements with 98 big Companies to set up Industries in Jharkhand. within 8 years of Jharkahand State's life NDA and UPA government has been signed with 101 Big Companies to set up Industries in Jharkhand. One of them is Mittal's engaged in setting up factory by devastati g many villages in Torpa, Karra and Rania Block in Khunti district, and Kamdara Block of Gumla District. The Mittal Company needs 12 thousand Heqtear of land for its factroy, which has a propuduction target of 12 million tones annually. It will set up a 2500 megawat power plant as per their MOU's with Jharkhand Government. Aarcelor Mittal says that my biggest plant in the world will be set up in Jharkhand. It is understood if a lant is i stalled, it would also take the water of Kara, chhata and Koyal rivers it is control and use the water for its industry, for to get this done it will construct a dam also. If it happens so in the region lakhs and lakhs people of this region will be displaced, and they will face the same crisis and situation as displaced from Chandil, HEC, Bokaro plant, Airport and Coal Mines of Hazaribag, Kodarma.

To save their village-society, Lingua-Cultutre, rivers-canls, forests-Hills and Soil, Siddhu-Kanhu, Chand-Bhairav, Sindrai-Bindray, Birsa Munda, Phoolo-Jhano and Maki-Devmani offered their live. After a long battle fought, a separate State was created. Today this State is stepping towards wiping Tribal-Indigenoues -farmers out of the land for making and developing home for capitalists and MNCs. It is need of the hour to save Jharkhand from the desturuction and devastation. Adivasi Mulvasi Astitva Rakha Manch appleals to all farmer's organizations, Human Right organization, people's organizations, Cultrueal organization, Environmentalist that have faith in delocratic Right, anti-Displacement organization, Intellectuals, well-wishers and writers to guard us because we belive that our collective force only can save us from being devastated.

Adavasi Mulvasi Astitva Raksha Manch raises its voice against setting up plants in torpa, Karra, Rania and Kamdara region Mittal company. It is the noble duty of every Jharkhandi has to be a successor of Hulgulan started by Sidhi-Kanhu-Birsa Munda to protect his/her trust and assets

Our Demands

1-No project which leads to displacement will be implemented in this region

2-Stop Mittal's or any Company that displace tribal-aboriginals-Farners in the region

3-wwe don't want to get displaced at any cost

4-No amendment in chhotanagpur Kashtkari Act 1908,. Sec-46
